| Preparation: Place milk in 3 quart bowl. Heat in microwave on level 8 (Medium High) for 8 to 10 minutes until heated through.
Blend together cornstarch, sugar & salt. Gradually add to heated milk while stirring with a whisk. Cook on level 8 for 6 minutes. Stir halfway through cooking time.
While beating, slowly add half of hot mixture into eggs. Slowly add egg mixture to remainder of warm milk.
Cook on level 8 for 2 to 4 minutes, or until mixture begins to boil.
Beat in butter & vanilla.
Layer vanilla wafers & bananas in 2 quart glass dish beginning & ending with vanilla wafers. Pour warm pudding mixture over each layer. When all layers are finished, bring to room temperature & then refrigerate.
