Ingredients:

Chicken pieces
3 to 4 cups flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon rosemary
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon sage
Crisco oil (soybean)

Preparation:

Wash & pat dry chicken. Combine all dry ingredients in bag or bowl. Heat about 1/4 inch oil in frying pan. Do not add chicken until oil is hot. A small amount of flour mixture will sizzle when dropped in hot oil. When oil is hot, dredge each piece of chicken in flour mixture and add to frying pan. Brown chicken on all sides. Do not stack pieces. If you are cooking more than the pan will hold, remove chicken when it is brown. Put chicken in a single layer in the oven at 325 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes. If you only have enough to fill your frying pan, lower heat when chicken is brown & continue cooking until juices run clear when pierced with a fork.
